Stetter mobile batching plant M 3.0 contributes to the expansion of Frankfurt Airport

The new mobile M 3.0 batching plant from Stetter is being used for the first time in the construction of the new Terminal 3 at Frankfurt Airport in Germany. The system was ready for operation in August 2019 having only required three days to assemble and since then has been supplying one of the biggest infrastructure projects in Europe with up to 135 m³ of fresh concrete per hour. New Stetter batching plant in Oestringen put into operation

An extraordinary Stetter batching plant has recently been set up in Oestringen, in the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg. The V4-plant of W. Mayer Transportbetonwerk GmbH is equipped with two 4 m³ twin-shaft mixers and with numerous, in some cases striking, equipment options. Alongside its six cement silos, the basic system contains an aggregate silo boasting a storage volume of more than 1000 m³ with a diameter of 10.24 m. At the beginning of June, the first truck-mounted concrete pumpS 65 SXF from SCHWING America Inc. was handed over to an American customer. After a thorough briefing by service technicians from SCHWING America, the Brundage Bone Concrete Pumping subsidiary in Dallas, Texas, took over the new long-boom pump. First chalice column poured at S 21

The chalice columns are one of the architectural highlights of the Stuttgart 21 construction project. A total of 29 chalice columns support the ceiling above the new underground station and, thanks to their open-top shape, direct daylight into the station concourse.
