The new UltraEco - the lightest 9 m³ truck mixer on the market

The new version of Schwing-Stetter's UltraEco truck mixer brings the body weight of the drum down to less than 3 tonnes and, on a weight-optimised EURO-6 8x4 chassis, thus still allows a payload of 8 m³ of concrete with a permissible total weight of 32 tonnes.

The Euro 6 emissions standard has changed constantly since its introduction in 2014 up to the current status in the Euro 6d version. The implementation of the new truck mixer standard EN 12609 and the new rear underride guard also result in a significant increase in weight and thus a direct loss of payload. With a conventional four-axle lightweight mixer, this can lead to a reduction of the concrete volume from 8 m³ to 7.5 m³. In order not to exceed the magic limit of 32 tonnes despite the new specifications, Schwing-Stetter further developed the UltraEco truck mixer in order to fully compensate for the extra weight and still be able to guarantee the transport of 8m3 of concrete.

Energy savings and CO2 reduction through consistent lightweight construction

New manufacturing processes enable, among other things, new, lighter machines, starting with the choice of material for the mixer drum, which in combination with the intelligent design not only leads to considerable weight reduction but also to increased stability, and ending with the optimised subframe.

Further weight-reducing options can be ordered at the customer's request. Thus, everything about the machine's structure is optimised for the highest possible weight saving. Even the optionally available SMART 3.0 truck mixer control has been slightly reduced in weight.

SMART 3.0 truck mixer control with electronic actuation

With mechanical mixer controls, the drum speed increases as the travel speed increases. The electronic truck mixer control of the SMART 3.0 keeps the drum speed at the selected, low level - regardless of the speed of the truck mixer. By avoiding unnecessary drum revolutions, drum wear and fuel consumption are noticeably reduced and revenue per tour increases. Typical operations such as loading and unloading as well as filling concrete buckets are simplified and reliability increased with an electronic truck mixer control system.
Schwing-Stetter's stated goal is to keep the carbon footprint of its products as small as possible. The UltraEco is one of these efforts to achieve and expand this goal.

Proven Schwing-Stetter quality

The proven processing quality allows a 5-year warranty on the mixer spiral and the drum wall.
Tim Bolte, Sales Manager Truck Mixers / FBP at Schwing-Stetter: "In close cooperation with our customers, operation, maintenance and cleaning of the UltraEco series are constantly optimised. The "clean rear" with the mainly straight and smooth surfaces makes cleaning after each operation quick and efficient. The optional selectable aluminium chassis cover reduces soiling of the chassis frame and the truck mixer subframe."

With the new, optional storage box underneath the mudguard, the UltraEco now offers another option for stowing maintenance and care tools. The optional heavy-duty box, integrated in the underride guard, can be used to conveniently carry wash buckets, brushes and flux canisters and other tools and aids.
