Organising training courses and seminars worldwide for its subsidiaries, dealers and end customers to keep them up to date - that's the job of the trainer-team from SCHWING's headquarters in Herne, Germany. And no distance is too far for these trainers. Our trainer Michael Loose visited Australia a few weeks ago.
After a long flight, including a stopover in Singapore, he headed straight after landing in Sydney to the SCHWING Australia site in Greenpoint and neighbouring Terrigal, where internal meetings kicked off the Training Tour Australia.
The next day, we flew to Kunde Park, around 1,000 kilometres away, near Brisbane. Located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast is the headquarters of Meales Concrete Pumping, a local concrete pumping company that has been providing concrete pumping services and support for all types of construction projects, including LNG, mining, energy and infrastructure, civil engineering, commercial and residential, under the Meales brand for over 40 years without interruption. At Meales, the employees received an Operator Refresher Course, the refresher course for concrete pump operators, which teaches the latest techniques and innovations in the handling of SCHWING truck-mounted concrete pumps, as well as addressing specific questions from the participants to refresh what they have learnt.
The very next morning, the onward flight to Melbourne began for a seminar at MitchCon Concrete Pumping & Spraying, nearby Braeside, Victoria. MitchCon, founded in 1995, has grown to become one of the largest concrete pumping companies in the country, operating throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria. Founders Jake and Andrew Mitchell personally took the opportunity to welcome our trainer Michael Loose on site. From there, the tour led back to Terrigal on the Central Coast in the state of New South Wales, where our trainer had been booked for a three-day intermediate service training course. In the pleasant atmosphere of the local country club, Michael was able to impart a lot of new knowledge to the participants, refresh existing knowledge and, above all, answer valuable questions and make new contacts as the contact person from the head office in Herne.
After an eventful week full of new impressions, our trainer was able to return home to Germany. As always, it was a pleasure for him to support our partners in Australia with his knowledge.
